a poem i wrote for my son ... who just moved to Germany with his wife and my GRAND ~ son ... he is in the chair-force ... and i guess you gotta do what you gotta do ... i taught him that...

my morning star...
who became a shooting star ...
i think of you when i feel and see the sun...
i think of you when i wonder and ponder the star ...

my son the warrior...

and his son... little bear...who can now crawl!!!

He talks philosophy to politicians and politics to preachers
Learns from the common man and teaches teachers
Drinking coffee at 3 a.m. when he's lonely
Homesick at home in his zen garden buddha sits waiting for me
Can't see the future only beyond it
I've watched him make weapons from rocks while reading goldilocks and the three bears to my sister
He's turned canvas into a dream and dreams into canvas
Then canvassed the neighborhood looking for a dream
He has higher hope for the hopeless than for those who won't help themselves
I've watched him grow older and younger in the same day
And sit at the side of the lake and meditate his way into the biggest catch
Or the smallest catch and its all the same to him
Either or that fish will swim again.
I see him in the mirror everytime I look
And in my dreams he is a gorilla...
I am a child in the hills...
But everytime, we say goodbye....
